My lymphatic and therapeutic massage is focused on reducing swelling, easing deep muscle tension, and improving steady, comfortable movement every day.
To help people move freely without constant swelling or pain.
To provide focused bodywork that supports healing and mobility.
I’m Brenda Sanchez, the owner and massage therapist behind Massage by Brenda in Downey, California.
My approach to massage has been shaped by both personal experience and professional work in chiropractic and spa environments. Those experiences taught me that effective massage begins with listening. Every person carries tension differently, prefers different pressure and comes into a session with different expectations.
That is why I do not treat every appointment the same way. I take time to understand what you want to focus on, how much pressure feels comfortable and whether your goal is relaxation, focused muscle work or simply giving your body time to slow down.

I begin by understanding what you want from your appointment instead of assuming one massage style will work for everyone.

Massage pressure should suit you. I check in and adjust techniques when necessary.

Your appointment can focus on the areas that matter most to you while still providing a balanced massage experience.

You are encouraged to ask questions and communicate your preferences before and during the session.
My values guide every lymphatic and therapeutic session, focusing on safe touch, real results, and steady support for lasting relief.
I listen closely to understand your body and limits.
I adjust compression to protect sensitive and swollen areas.
I focus on gradual improvement, not quick, temporary relief.
I explain findings clearly and set realistic recovery expectations.
I want clients to feel comfortable communicating throughout their appointment. Pressure can be changed, areas can be given more attention and techniques can be adjusted as the session progresses.
My role is to provide thoughtful, professional massage care while making sure you understand what to expect and feel comfortable throughout your time in the studio.
